This experimental work started its journey in 2011 alongside the mass riots against austerity measures and the movement of the “aganaktismeni” (the indignados) in Athens. While photographing and recording the ephemeral events that were taking place in a daily basis, such as the public assemblies and the various socio-political actions that were formed and transformed during those years, I also started experimenting with a combination of diverse mediums and theoretical structures in order to record and document what I felt was a more accurate narrative on what was taking place around me. The body of work that came from this juxtaposition took the form of a newspaper in which I blended theoretical elements of the structure of ancient Greek theatre as a political means for critique and satire, together with an imagery of the riots that took place in Athens through the use of collage and photomontage.
